Ann was greatly influenced by the writings of Anita Moorjani. Her first book "Dying to Be Me" is a book about Anita's near-death experience that Ann read, and then suggested to me while I was going through a mini identity crisis in college. Reading the book, and the subsequent conversations we had together strongly impacted both of our lives as we worked to focus on living lives as our authentic selves, recognizing that was how we could truly bring the greatest impact in the world. In the last few days, Anita's words about our soul's after death have really brought me comfort as Ann wholeheartedly believed them, so I trust she's in pure bliss, and with us even more so.

When Tom and I visited Ann & Vance, we went with Ann to the market. On our way home we came upon a sloth in the middle of the road. Ann was so excited, but of course, also worried the sloth would get hit by another car since it was dark and really foggy- so she had me go pick it up by it's scruff to move it! When I went to go lift it, I really scared the poor thing and it hissed at me, so we just decided to stay put, let it sllloooowwwlllyyy move across the road, and then continued on with our drive once it was safe.
